Scheduling for an auto top-off

Method based on actual evaporation.

1

Install the auto top-off

Bring the water to the desired level.

2

Unplug the auto top-off for 6 hours

This lets you estimate actual evaporation.

3

Time the refill

Reconnect the auto top-off and measure how long it takes to return to the correct level.

4

Program the smart plug

Every 6 hours, leave the plug ON for about 2× the measured time.

5

Example

If topping off takes 1 minute, program 2 minutes ON: 08:00–08:02, 14:00–14:02, 20:00–20:02, 02:00–02:02.

06

Quick troubleshooting

Simple checks before contacting support.

The plug will not add

Reset it with a long press, move it closer to the router and check that Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz.

What should I do after a water change?

Top off manually, then resume the normal schedule.

07

Checklist before use

Quick validation.

Check

  • App installed.
  • Plug flashing quickly.
  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi used.
  • ON/OFF times tested.
  • ON duration calibrated to actual evaporation.

Avoid

  • Leaving the plug ON permanently if you are using it as an additional safety layer.
  • Programming without timing the refill.
  • Forgetting to recalibrate after a major system change.
