CP-Control PLUS — firmware 2.0 update and Wi-Fi setup

Get the firmware from CoralPlast support, perform the OTA update from the controller’s local network, then configure home Wi-Fi and alerts.

Firmware 2.0 adds scheduled fleece advance, e-mail notifications, buzzer control and several automatic alerts. After the update, the controller restarts in AP mode; connection to home Wi-Fi remains optional.

Before you start

Secure the power supply before any update.

Never cut the power during the OTA update.

After the update, the controller starts in AP mode only. Reconnect to home Wi-Fi afterwards from Tools → WiFi / LAN Setup.

Network name: documentation for earlier versions may show CP-Controller-XXXX. Firmware 2.0 documented here uses CP-Control_XXXXXX. Always use the SSID actually displayed by your controller.

Get the firmware

Firmware is supplied on request so the correct file can be sent for your controller version.

Contact CoralPlast with your model and, if possible, a photo of the controller label or screen. Support will send the appropriate update file.

OTA update

Procedure from the controller’s local interface.

Connect to the controller Wi-Fi

Choose CP-Control_XXXXXX from your phone or PC.

Open the interface

Go to http://192.168.4.1.

Open OTA Update

Click OTA Update or go directly to http://192.168.4.1/update.

Sign in if requested

Use admin / admin.

Select the .bin file sent by CoralPlast

Choose the .bin file received from CoralPlast support, then click Update.

Wait for the restart

Do not cut the power until the controller has fully restarted.

Firmware 2.0 features

BuzzerEnable/disable and automatic alerts.

Alerts include a blocked sensor, triggered buzzer and roll thresholds at 80% and 99%.

Open Tools, then WiFi / LAN Setup

From the CP-Control PLUS interface.

Enter the SSID and password

Use your home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

Save and connect

AP mode remains available even if home Wi-Fi is not connected.

Documentation is being finalised.

Work in progress: Home Assistant integration is optional and the complete documentation is currently being prepared. The controller works normally without Home Assistant. This page will be updated when the official procedure is ready.

Quick troubleshooting

Simple checks before contacting support.

E-mails are not being sent

E-mail notifications work only when the controller is connected to home Wi-Fi in STA mode.

I cannot find home Wi-Fi after the update

This is normal: after the update, the controller starts in AP mode only. Reconnect STA from Tools → WiFi / LAN Setup.

OTA rejects the update file

Check that you are using the .bin file sent by CoralPlast for your version. If it is rejected, do not try another file: contact support with a photo or screenshot of the displayed message.

Check

  • The .bin file was received from CoralPlast support and matches your version.
  • Stable power supply.
  • Connected to the Wi-Fi network displayed by the controller.
  • OTA completed without interruption.
  • Home Wi-Fi reconfigured if needed.

Avoid

  • Using firmware from another source or for another version.
  • Cutting the power during OTA.
  • Configuring e-mail without an STA connection.
