The sensor detects water through glass or a wall. Thickness, salt or moisture can change sensitivity, so calibrate it only in its final installation position.
Before you start
Final position before calibration.
Never force the sensitivity screw and do not calibrate the sensor before installing it in its final position.
Download the official app from your mobile app store.
Tuya Smart pairing
Install the app before adding the controller.
Check pairing mode
The blue LED must flash quickly. If not, hold the button for about 8 seconds.
Install Tuya Smart
Prepare the app before adding the controller.
Add the controller
Tap + and follow the wizard using your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Sensor positioning
Test it in its final position.
Place the sensor on the glass
Install it at the height where water should be detected.
Check the LED
With no water behind the glass, the LED should be OFF. With water behind the sensor area, it should turn ON.
Sensitivity calibration
Use this if the LED stays ON with no water present.
Remove the small cover
On the rear, next to the LED, gently remove the cover with a thin flat screwdriver.
Reduce sensitivity
Turn the screw about 1/4 turn clockwise.
Test after each adjustment
Repeat until the LED is OFF without water and ON with water.
Make gradual adjustments
Small adjustments are more reliable than a large turn of the screw.
Quick troubleshooting
Simple checks before contacting support.
The LED always stays ON
Reduce sensitivity in quarter turns and clean the glass or wall.
Tuya pairing fails
Check that the LED is flashing quickly and use a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
Checklist before use
Final validation.
